Metasurface (MTS)antennas have been shown to be a versatile class of planar antenna. In particular, they allow for beam shaping and pattern control through the modulation of the boundary conditions, while keeping unchanged the overall antenna structure. This feature makes them suitable for dynamic reconfiguration. In this contribution, we show how an electronic beam scanning can be achieved by controlling either the average equivalent impedance or the modulation period of the modulated MTS.

Abstract
Metasurface (MTS)antennas have been shown to be a versatile class of planar antenna. In particular, they allow for beam shaping and pattern control through the modulation of the boundary conditions, while keeping unchanged the overall antenna structure. This feature makes them suitable for dynamic reconfiguration. In this contribution, we show how an electronic beam scanning can be achieved by controlling either the average equivalent impedance or the modulation period of the modulated MTS.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
