The paper shows how a QFD technique can be applied in the preliminary steps of a Health Technology Assessment to obtain quantitative parameters that help the Top Management of a hospital to choose the most correlated features with the expressed customers (medical staff and patients) needs. In particular the study focuses on assessing the acquisition of a new CIS/PACS infrastructure (Cardiology Information System / Picture Archiving and Communications System) for the Cardiology Department of the Meyer Hospital in Firenze, Italy.
