The paper provides an overview of the measurement issues affecting sensing systems based on QCM, operating in liquid exploiting impedance measurement. The paper analyses the effect of the presence of a liquid and its viscosity at the interface with the QCM sensors by analytical models and experimental test. The derived model takes into account the parasitic effects due to the measurement setup and provides a model valid for applications involving a wide range of viscous media.

Abstract
The paper provides an overview of the measurement issues affecting sensing systems based on QCM, operating in liquid exploiting impedance measurement. The paper analyses the effect of the presence of a liquid and its viscosity at the interface with the QCM sensors by analytical models and experimental test. The derived model takes into account the parasitic effects due to the measurement setup and provides a model valid for applications involving a wide range of viscous media.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
