In this paper an electromagnetic characterization of an EMUEMC test facility for electric propulsion thrusters is presented. To this end, an analysis of the electromagnetic field radiated outside a hollow dielectric cylinder by an internal elementary source has been conducted, by means of a high-frequency technique, stemming from an iterative implementation of Physical Optics. The numerical implementation shows very good agreement between the simplified high frequency solution and the results obtained by CST simulation.

Abstract
In this paper an electromagnetic characterization of an EMUEMC test facility for electric propulsion thrusters is presented. To this end, an analysis of the electromagnetic field radiated outside a hollow dielectric cylinder by an internal elementary source has been conducted, by means of a high-frequency technique, stemming from an iterative implementation of Physical Optics. The numerical implementation shows very good agreement between the simplified high frequency solution and the results obtained by CST simulation.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
