Ionic density measurement in the burning gases is one of the techniques used to obtain information about the combustion process in automotive engines. In this paper the possibility of using a similar approach for the combustion control of gas turbine combustors is considered. In particular the potentiality of this measurement technique is investigated through the modeling of the problem, and analyzing data obtained in a preliminary set of measurements in different operative conditions.

Abstract
Ionic density measurement in the burning gases is one of the techniques used to obtain information about the combustion process in automotive engines. In this paper the possibility of using a similar approach for the combustion control of gas turbine combustors is considered. In particular the potentiality of this measurement technique is investigated through the modeling of the problem, and analyzing data obtained in a preliminary set of measurements in different operative conditions.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
