Histoire des Albigeois (seconda metà del XV secolo): edizione critica e studio linguistico.

The Histoire des Albigeois (The Albigesian History) collects under its name two versions: Version 1 and Version 2. Version 1 was transmitted by three manuscripts written between the 16th and 17th centuries (the topic of this dissertation): P, C et T; Version 2 was transmitted by only one manuscript marked Me. Version 1, in turn, collects two sub-versions: the first one is Version 1 Long (P, C), from which the second one derives, i.e. Version 1 Short (T), that considerably shortens the text. The Histoire‘s language is the XV century occitan, with some Latin and French influences. The Latin influence, the quote from the Codex Iuris Civilis, the intellectual context made by the jurists of the Toulouse’s parliament, the information purpose that prevail on the literary ones by the chosen style: for these reasons, the Histoire is a book of history, made by the anonymous author for his contemporaries.
