Abstract
In the last twenty years there’s been a dramatic increase in the amount of technogies available for the thoracic surgeon. Robotics and Video Assisted Thoracic Surgery are nowadays essential components of the thoracic surgeon’s technical and cultural baggage. These new technologies have also pushed forward the boundaries of costs thus it becomes necessary to define the appropriateness. Prognostic factors may emerge as key drivers in selecting the correct procedure for each specific patient, in accordance with what is demanded by the so-called “precision medicine”. Our research have pointed out some important prognostic factors that could at some point help to speculate the direction our kind of surgery should tail in order to correctly assign every single patient to the most advantageous procedure.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
