The chapter deals with the use of the learning contracts in the Italian university context. The first part analyzes the context of the Italian university in which the research work takes place, the theoretical frameworks of learning contracts, and of the discussion forum used in the practice of this work. The second part displays the analysis of students’ perceptions collected with the scope to evaluate the learning contract experience. The discussion section presents the theoretical and practical components of an hypothetical model to help faculty members in the use of Knowles’ model of learning contract in the Italian university system. Finally the conclusions indicate our future direction in promoting the use of learning contracts.

Abstract
The chapter deals with the use of the learning contracts in the Italian university context. The first part analyzes the context of the Italian university in which the research work takes place, the theoretical frameworks of learning contracts, and of the discussion forum used in the practice of this work. The second part displays the analysis of students’ perceptions collected with the scope to evaluate the learning contract experience. The discussion section presents the theoretical and practical components of an hypothetical model to help faculty members in the use of Knowles’ model of learning contract in the Italian university system. Finally the conclusions indicate our future direction in promoting the use of learning contracts.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
