The special issue is devoted to the fundamental aspects of the nonlinear dynamics of neural networks, such as stability and convergence of solutions, oscillations and complex dynamics. The considered class encompasses (smooth or non-smooth) continuous-time, discrete-time or impulsive neural network models. Particular attention is paid to the dynamical issues that are potentially relevant in view of the neural network applications for solving signal processing tasks in real time.
