Abstract
In recent syntactic theorizing, it is assumed that number agreement on the verb is irrelevant from the interpretive viewpoint. In this paper I showthat verbal number agreement is semantically relevant at least in a well-defined set of cases, and that its semantic import is event pluralization. The discussed involves the Italian reciprocal modifier “uno dopo l'altro” (lit.: one after the other).File in questo prodotto:
