The aim of this contribution is to investigate the close link between linguistic theory and political doctrines, starting from the case study of the word ‘Guerra’ in the Dizionario di Politica of the PNF (Dictionary of Politics of the National Fascist Party) and in the book Insegne e Miti by linguist and philosopher Antonino Pagliaro, both published in 1940.
