The aim of the article is to show the contribution that many linguists made to the realisation of the publishing project of the Enciclopedia Italiana di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti between 1929 and 1937. Beginning with an illustration of the historical framework, it was made an analytical review of the linguistic entries elaborated by the members of the Linguistic Section. The aim is deduced the new profile of Italian linguistic theory in the Enciclopedia.
