In this Chapter the author retraces the history of the physician-patient relationship from antiquity up to the present. The author focuses on ethical statements and pays particular attention to deontological rules of the second half of the twentieth century and to the opportunities and openings offered by Medical Humanities for 'new' doctors.
In questo capitolo l'autore ripercorre la storia del rapporto medico-paziente dall'antichità ai giorni nostri. L'autore si concentra sulle affermazioni etiche e presta particolare attenzione alle regole deontologiche della seconda metà del XX secolo e alle opportunità e alle aperture offerte dalle Medical Humanities per formare "nuovi" medici.
