Il Riparo l’Oscurusciuto (Ginosa – TA) nel quadro degli studi sugli ultimi Neandertaliani. Strategie insediative e comportamento

The study of Riparo l’Oscurusciuto (Ginosa [TA], Italy)allowed to achieve significant results for the reconstruction of multiple aspects of the Neanderthal behaviour, including the formation processes of the stratigraphic sequence, the lithic technology, the exploitation of faunal resources, the management of hearths and the settlement strategies and dynamics. This paper is focused on the intra-site managements of living spaces. The high-temporal resolution perspective (aimed at dissecting the palimpsest) and an interdisciplinary approach allowed to shed new light on the organization of the Neanderthal camps into a given context sequence (SUs 13-11). Moreover, from a diachronic point of view, the dialectical relation between historical memory of places and ‘longue durée’has been highlighted.
