Attorno a cultura giuridica greca e tradizione occidentale: democrazia, giustizia, produzione del diritto

This paper focuses on some aspects of Greek legal and political culture that have particular importance in the perspective of the “Foundations of European law”, also in comparison with the Roman legal experience: concepts such as democracy, justice, equality (especially before the law: isonomía), freedom (especially of speech: parrhesía); but also questions such as the certainty of law, the relationship between politics and normative production, law and equity, legislative and judicial activity.
