In this chapter, we address industrial perspectives through different challenges: i) The challenge of multifunctional metamaterials, ii) The challenge of multiscale modeling and iii) The challenge of ultimate miniaturization. These challenges will impact the selected applications areas, such as mobile satellite communications (SatCom-on-the-Move), sense and avoid radar systems for drones, and beyond 5G and 6G communication systems. All these challenges are reviewed in separate sections within the framework of the metamaterial by design.

Abstract
In this chapter, we address industrial perspectives through different challenges: i) The challenge of multifunctional metamaterials, ii) The challenge of multiscale modeling and iii) The challenge of ultimate miniaturization. These challenges will impact the selected applications areas, such as mobile satellite communications (SatCom-on-the-Move), sense and avoid radar systems for drones, and beyond 5G and 6G communication systems. All these challenges are reviewed in separate sections within the framework of the metamaterial by design.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
