New technologies have been having a significant impact in economics and business during the last few decades. Among the many changes brought about by technologies, one of the most revolutionary has been the role that they have brought to platforms; within platforms, crowdsourcing has emerged and revolutionised the way companies, customers, and different actors have been interacting among themselves creating and sharing new value. This chapter provides a literature review aimed at analysing the most impactful studies on crowdsourcing. Drawing on a systematic review, the chapter enables us to understanding how the main research branches of Management Studies have approached this topic and the implications and future lines of research emerging from it.

Abstract
New technologies have been having a significant impact in economics and business during the last few decades. Among the many changes brought about by technologies, one of the most revolutionary has been the role that they have brought to platforms; within platforms, crowdsourcing has emerged and revolutionised the way companies, customers, and different actors have been interacting among themselves creating and sharing new value. This chapter provides a literature review aimed at analysing the most impactful studies on crowdsourcing. Drawing on a systematic review, the chapter enables us to understanding how the main research branches of Management Studies have approached this topic and the implications and future lines of research emerging from it.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
