The aim of this research is to give answers on the Italian school teaching contexts and approaches in light of Rod Ellis’s Principles for instructed language learning (2005a; 2005b). No European research so far has implemented the use of the principles as an investigation tool and this analysis hopes to offer a contribution by moving in line with studies carried out in non-European contexts. The study is sustained by the idea that the principles can serve as a useful guideline for all Second language acquisition (SLA) researchers, teacher educators and practitioners for analysis, training and efficient practices.

Abstract
The aim of this research is to give answers on the Italian school teaching contexts and approaches in light of Rod Ellis’s Principles for instructed language learning (2005a; 2005b). No European research so far has implemented the use of the principles as an investigation tool and this analysis hopes to offer a contribution by moving in line with studies carried out in non-European contexts. The study is sustained by the idea that the principles can serve as a useful guideline for all Second language acquisition (SLA) researchers, teacher educators and practitioners for analysis, training and efficient practices.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
