An analysis the evolution of “network sovereignty” and “information sovereignty” in China from 2005 to 2014

This contribution aims to the explore the evolution of key concepts in the history of the Chinese Internet governance such as “network sovereignty” (网络主权) and “information sovereignty” (信息主权). The period considered for this research starts in 2005 and ends in 2014. This period can be considered crucial for the history of the Chinese Internet governance because it occurred from the end of the Tunis Agenda for the Information Society to the first edition of the World Internet Conference held in Wuzhen. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.
