The essay aims at analysing the situation of the Rule of Law in Portugal, moving from the considerations made by the European Commission in its September 2020 Report, in the light of the following Reports of 2021 and 2022. It illustrates the main contents of the four thematic macro-areas into which the latter is divided, and then focuses on the judiciary and on the anti-corruption framework.
