“Se trokan los tiempos”: the conflict between progress and tradition in the work of Laura Papo-Bohoreta Starting from the analysis of the prose work written by Laura Papo-Bohoreta in Judeo-Spanish, that is to say from her newspaper articles and her essays as well as her stories and theatrical dramas, I propose the study of the changes caused by the entry of progress and technology in Sephardic society and its effects in particular in the female world. The main objectives are: identify the scientific and technological changes that are included in the work of Laura Papo and evaluate these elements, which are both innovative and conflictive for Sephardic society.
