By engaging into comprehensive scientific research and argumentation, the book's authors examine policy countertendencies, governance ambiguities, institutional and structural developments as well as other concrete economic issues, all of which tackle weakness in the EU economic environment that were revealed by the crisis. The manuscripts suitably cover all levels of EU economic governance (from the European to the national one), as well as all of the main stakeholders in the EU's economic policymaking, although a slight emphasis on the so-called newer Member States can be discerned in the case studies presented.

Abstract

By engaging into comprehensive scientific research and argumentation, the book's authors examine policy countertendencies, governance ambiguities, institutional and structural developments as well as other concrete economic issues, all of which tackle weakness in the EU economic environment that were revealed by the crisis. The manuscripts suitably cover all levels of EU economic governance (from the European to the national one), as well as all of the main stakeholders in the EU's economic policymaking, although a slight emphasis on the so-called newer Member States can be discerned in the case studies presented.
