As many other antioxidants, lutein is a very unstable molecule. Therefore to improve its stability and to be able to use it in a cosmetic formulation, it is necessary to encapsulate lutein in micro or nano particulate systems. n this work supramolecular systems have been studied as carriers for this antioxidant with the aim to enhance the water solublity and its stability.

Abstract
