In this work the preparation and the subsequent characterization of yttrium cobalt perovskite (YCoO3) based CO sensors are presented. In particular YCoO3 powder preparation and characterization by XRD and by preliminary Temperature Programmed Desorption (TPD) and Temperature Programmed Reduction (TPR) experiments is described, as well as the development of thick film sensors and of a test system. Moreover, experimental results showing the good characteristics of the obtained sensors are presented.
