Aim of this study is the evaluation of the rock slope stability of a cliff sited in Capri Island. The most important aspect in this work is the study of the brittle deformation obtained by the application of digital terrestrial photogrammetry techniques (DTP) integrated by laser scanner and topographic survey. The use of DTP techniques is necessary especially in hardly accessible sites, as natural cliff or open pit in quarry and mine sites. Oriented stereo images, accurate digital elevation models and orthophotos are the main deliverables that are expected from photogrammetry; then, such technique can be used as data source for studying geometrical characteristics of discontinuities, blocks and slopes. DTP was combined by laser scanning techniques (used to build a DDSM) and by the traditional surveys methods (geological and geomechanical survey). The whole activities allow us to perform a rock slope stability analysis by a deterministic approach and finally to suggest engineering solution for risk mitigation.
