We are proposing the CALET mission carried out on the Japanese Experiment Module of International Space Station. Major purpose of the mission is to search for the nearby cosmic ray sources and dark matter. The detector consists of an imaging calorimeter and a total absorption calorimeter to detect the electrons and the gamma-rays up to 10 TeV with very efficient rejection power of the background protons and accurate energy measurement. The CALET has a capability to measure the protons and nuclei up to 1000 TeV, and will also monitor solar modulation and gamma-ray bursts. The phase A/B study will start from 2007 aiming at the lauch by H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV) in 2013.
