The heteronuclear time-dependent NOE induced during bi-selective proton-carbon spin-lattice relaxation rate measurements (H)R1C is analyzed. A pulse sequence used to generate heteronuclear transient nuclear Overhauser effects (TD-NOE) is proposed. The combination of TD-NOE and bi-selective proton-carbon spin-lattice relaxation rate measurements allowed the determination of proton-carbon cross-relaxation contributions in ethanol. Structural and dynamical properties obtained by using (H)R1C, broad-band carbon spin-lattice relaxation rate measurements and TD-NOEs are discussed.

Abstract
